Bear Meadow Farm is a privately owned and operated fruit & vegetable farm, gourmet condiment manufacturer and service provider. Bear Meadow Farm is located in Massachusetts’ Pioneer Valley, approximately thirty minutes north of Springfield, MA, in a small town called Colrain.

Bear Meadow Farm has been manufacturing gourmet condiments for over 20 years with its roots dating back more than three generations. In keeping with tradition, we continue to use many of the original tried and true gourmet condiment recipes. Bear Meadow Farm offers homemade style gourmet condiments made with only the freshest ingredients and with no artificial additives or preservatives. Our only sweetener is Florida Crystals, pure sugar cane, not processed sugar syrups.

Bear Meadow Farm’s Principle Owner and General Manager is Matt Shearer. The Shearer family has lived in the Pioneer Valley for over 150 years. Matt is a third generation apple grower who grew-up working with his family at the Shearer apple orchard, Pine Hill Orchards. Matt graduated from the University of Massachusetts - Amherst’s Stockbridge School for Plant and Soil Sciences.

Shipping Policy*

Our primary shipping method is United Parcel Service (UPS) via UPS ground. Normal "in transit" time depends on distance from delivery point, typically ranging from 2 to 7 business days. We cannot "guarantee" a specific arrival date as it is beyond our control.

(Orders over 150lbs.) For most orders, actual shipping costs are automatically calculated during your 'checkout' process using your ship to zip code as a reference. For all orders weighing 150 lbs or more actual shipping charges will be billed to you seperately at time of delivery.

(Wholesale Shipping) In addition to shipping via UPS, wholesale customers also have an option to have Bear Meadow Farm personally deliver their gourmet condiments. Personal delivery is offered only to select wholesale accounts depending upon geographical distance, size of order, requested delivery date, etc. Please contact us for more information. Personal delivery is offered at drastically reduced rates when compared to the cost of UPS delivery. Typically, personal delivery rates average $2 per case depending on distance and total number of cases. Please note however that personal delivery may add to your lead-times as we do not deliver every day. So in order to save on your shipping costs, it is advised to get your orders placed well enough in advance.

Returns Policy

If you find that an item is damaged during shipment, PLEASE NOTIFY US IMMEDIATELY! (no later than 7 days upon receipt). Retain all shipping materials for possible inspection by our carrier. The damaged items will be promptly replaced.

Order lead-times vary depending on product being ordered, total order quantity, time of year, etc. We do our best to ensure that you receive your gourmet condiments as quickly as possible. Below is a summary of our average lead-times by gourmet product/service. If you have any questions or concerns regarding the lead-time of your order, please feel free to contact us for more information.Retail - Jars & Gift Baskets Retail orders placed for 'Gourmet Condiments' (by the jar) or 'Gourmet Gift Baskets', are usually shipped within 1-2 business days. If we are temporarily out of stock of an item, we will promptly contact you to provide you with the option to make a substitute, wait until the item is available for shipment, or cancel your order.Retail - Wedding Favors Retail orders placed for 'Gourmet Wedding Favors' (by the jar & gift baskets), usually require 2-3 weeks to prepare and finalize your personalized labels and an additional 2 weeks for manufacturing (assuming you would like to wait until you are completely satisfied with your personalized labels first), otherwise your gourmet condiments will be manufactured during the same 2-3 weeks that we are finalizing the label.
